Understanding developments in the Gulf-MENA region – a discussion with Dr Ibrahim Fraihat - 19th May

On the 19th of May, Forward Thinking organized a private roundtable discussion on developments in the Gulf-MENA region with Dr Ibrahim Fraihat, Associate Professor in International Conflict Resolution at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies.Dr Fraihat is a specialist on the region having authored several relevant books, Iran and Saudi Arabia: Taming a Chaotic Conflict, and Unfinished Revolutions: Yemen, Libya and Tunisia after the Arab Spring.The meeting provided an opportunity to explore key trends, including the changing nature of US foreign policy in the region, the prospects for a revived JCPOA, what can be expected from bilateral negotiations between Iran and Saudi Arabia, and current dynamics in Israel-Palestine.
