Conference in Jordan, Women in Political Parties in the Arab Region - 29-20 July 2022

At the end of July, Julian Weinberg was invited to speak at a conference in Jordan, Women in Political Parties in the Arab Region. It was hosted by H. E. Wafa Bani Mustafa, Jordanian Minister of State for Legal Affairs and Chairperson of the Inter-Ministerial Committee for Women's Affairs, UNDP and UN Women.

Politicians throughout the Arab Region met alongside experts and civil society to discuss the challenges  and opportunities of women's engagement in politics and how to combat violence against women in politics. Alice Copland also attended and was able to share the experience of Forward Thinking's Women Parliamentarian Network, meeting with other participants and focusing on how to develop an enabling legislative and political environment for the inclusion of women within politics.
