Palestinian Women’s Network meeting with Sinéad McLaughlin MLA, 26th January 2023

On 26 January 2023, Forward Thinking convened a meeting with our Palestinian Women’s Network and Sinéad McLaughlin MLA. Participants included women from the West Bank and Gaza. They discussed the role and experience of women in conflict-affected societies and peacebuilding.  Sinéad provided her reflections on the Irish experience of conflict resolution, the Good Friday/Belfast Agreement and discussed the role that women played in ending violence. The meeting provided an opportunity to share insights, provide updates on the current context in Palestine and discuss the priorities of the group this year.
