Meeting of the Steering Group in Helsinki, December 2023

On 20 December, the Helsinki Policy Forum Steering Group met in the Finnish capital. Representatives attended from foreign ministries in Finland, Germany, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Türkiye, the United Arab Emirates, and the UK. The meeting provided an opportunity for representatives from Europe and the Gulf-MENA region to share their insights and formulate strategies for cooperation. The ongoing conflict in Gaza was high on the agenda, and discussions focused on coordinating responses to achieve a cessation of violence.
