Forward Thinking Visit to Tunis - November 2021

At the beginning of November, Forward Thinking visited Tunis to meet with the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Health and the Institut Pasteur de Tunis. They discussed the current situation in Tunisia and looked at how the Helsinki Policy Forum Health Working Group can support the Tunisian and regional response to Covid-19.The Health Working Group was established in response to the Covid-19 pandemic and hosts an inter-regional dialogue between Health Ministries in the Gulf-MENA region and Europe. Participants share expertise, analysis and best practices in their response to the pandemic. Discussions in Tunis focused on how the Group can work with the Tunisian Ministry of Health and the Institut Pasteur in future, especially in addressing  the challenge of vaccine accessibility in the region.
